Professional Development Series 2020

$55.00 Incl GST

At CFIH, we support a ‘specialist model’ of care, particularly for complex and high-risk presentations such as eating disorders. If you work within this field, however, you know that this presentation is highly co-morbid with a number of other presentations (including, but not limited to, Complex Trauma and PTSD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).

Eating disorders and body-image concerns also occur among an increasingly diverse population of individuals (i.e., gender minority folk, elite athletes, and those in bigger bodies) which brings another set of unique challenges to treatment.

In an effort to stay abreast the evidence in the fields we don’t primarily specialise in and to ensure we continue delivering gold-standard treatment to our clients, Centre for Integrative Health has introduced a ‘Professional Development Series’.
Where: CFIH: 169 Kelvin Grove Rd, Kelvin Grove, QLD 4059
Who: This series is for registered medical or health practitioners only. Places are limited to 10 per workshop.
Cost: $50.00 per person. Includes wine and nibbles.

Description

Each month, Centre for Integrative Health will host an expert to speak on a topic of co-morbidity or a minority population in hope of furthering the clinic’s understanding of how best to work with some of the complex and unique cases that present to our clinic.

In an effort to share resources and information, we are opening each of these professional development sessions up to an additional 5 external practitioners.
