Since completing her Masters of Applied Psychology (Health), Carly Leverington has developed a passion for supporting people improve their lifestyles (and subsequently, their physical- and mental-health) through her experience working in both inpatient and community settings with a variety of chronic health conditions (including renal disease and diabetes).
"I am especially passionate about the link between psychological and physical health; one cannot be treated without consideration of the other”, says Carly.
Carly is an advocate for Health and Every Size (HAES) and body positivity, stating "I want to challenge sociocultural ideals and encourage the celebration of body diversity by assisting people of all sizes to overcome disordered eating and body-image concerns".
Finally, Carly has also acquired an interest in family-based approaches to concerns such as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Avoidant & Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) through her experience working with children and their families in setting such as Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS).
